“Once you label me, you negate me.” is a quote often attributed to the Danish philosopher, Søren Kierkegaard.

Labels can be helpful. They can help by describing and categorizing. But, labels can be harmful, too. They can harm by restricting and stereotyping.

I am a polymath. A generalist. An autodidact.  I strive to be a jack of all trades; a Renaissance Man. I work hard to develop my intellectual, artistic, social, and physical skills and abilities.

I’m a software tester. I’m a speaker, a teacher, and a mentor. I’m an improviser, an actor, and a playwright. I’m an artist, an inventor, a philosopher, and a handyman. I’m a raconteur and an extrovert. I’m a poker player, a basketball player, a golfer, and a gamer. I’m all of these things, and much, much more.

And I connect and use them all to help me recognize problems, find solutions, and approach life in unique and unexpected ways. I consider each of these things with passion, skepticism, curiosity, intuition, critical thinking, and common sense. I value integrity and practice empathy. I’m motivated by doing good and making a difference.

Hopefully, all these labels will help you to better understand me. But not to limit me.

If any of this intrigues you, please feel free to contact me. I love to “talk shop”, and am always interested and looking…
